Sleek Powder Blush- Pixie Pink: Review, Price, Swatches

Hi Everyone

I’ll be reviewing the Sleek Powder Blush in the shade Pixie Pink today. Sleek blushes are quite popular in terms of quality and affordability. And although not the easiest to find in India, they can be easily ordered online which is where I got mine from.

The blush comes in a compact and light-weight packaging which is quite convenient to travel with. It is sturdy and I quite like the packaging except that it closes a little too tightly and it becomes hard to open the blush sometimes, especially if you have longer nails. It comes with a good quality mirror inside which actually comes in really handy at times!

The blush powder is really fine and soft to touch. It is highly pigmented and add to that the shade which is very bright too, you can easily end up with clown cheeks. So you have to be very careful while picking up the product and build it gradually. The formula of the blush is not the easiest to blend, especially when using a blush brush and I find that a beauty blender does a much better job of applying it. I’m not saying its bad but it does have a tendency to show up unevenly. It has a decent staying power of about 4-5 hours on my oily skin, and can even stretch upto 6-7 hours when applied with a beauty blender.

Coming onto the shade of the blush, it is a cool-toned barbie pink. On my warm skintone, this blush adds a really nice pop of color, as opposed to other warm-toned pinks in my stash. It is a matte blush and has no shimmer at all, so it does not highlight open pores and can be easily worn in the day time. This shade will best suit light to medium complexions and might start looking garish on deeper skintones.

What I Like About The Product

1.Soft, finely-milled powder

2.No shimmer so does not accentuate pores and is ideal to wear in the day time.

3.Has a good staying power

4.Packaging is very sturdy and comes with a mirror inside

5.The shade adds a pop of pink to the cheeks and looks beautiful on warm Indian skintones.

What I Don’t Like About The Product

1.The powder is slightly difficult to blend and has a tendency to show up unevenly when applied using a blush brush

2.The packaging is a little hard to open if you have long nails

Overall Thoughts

Sleek Powder Blush in Pixie Pink is a cool-toned barbie pink blush with a soft texture and a good staying power. It does have a little blendability issue but much of it depends on how you apply it. This was my first time trying out the Sleek blushes and I must say I’m impressed with the quality of the product. This shade is a nice change from the usual warm-toned pinks and adds a barbie-pink hue to the cheeks. It might not suit everyone but if you have a light to medium complexion and are looking for a cool-toned pink blush, I’ll recommend you try this one out!

Looks so pretty on you komal 🙂 I agree its difficult to open the sleek palettes & blushes. I have a fear my otherwise hard nails will break coz of them LOL..

  7. I am not much of a blush person, as i have extremely uneven skin texture on my cheeks due to acne, blush seems to accentuate it more. But this looks like a really good one. Love the flush of pink on your cheeks.
