1. TRY CONDITIONER FIRST

Putting a thin layer of conditioner on hair just BEFORE you use your shampoo will help in extra conditioning (read: protecting) your tresses on days when your scalp needs a wash but your lengths don’t. The way to do it is: Wet the hair and apply conditioner only to the hair below your shoulder level. No need to wait. Continue with your usual shampoo and conditioner routine.

2. FIX THAT DRY SKIN

Tired of dry flaky skin? Use a lemon and sugar scrub on your face and massage lightly and rinse. Lemon will take care of any blemishes that you have and sugar will gently slough off any dry areas on the face.

3. STREAKING WITH HONEY

Honey is not only good for your skin but also for your hair. Apart from many other benefits that honey has, one of them is its bleaching property. Honey is believed to have traces of hydrogen peroxide which will help in streaking your hair naturally. Apply it as a hair mask for 45 mins to 1 hour and wash off. Just remember to never heat it as heat causes it to lose its properties.

4. FACELIFT AT HOME

Need an instant facelift? Use one egg white on your face. Let it dry and wash off. It will instantly lift your skin, tighten your pores and put a glow on your face which no makeup can fake. Not comfortable with egg on your face? Squeeze an orange and use its juice instead. It won’t give as much tightening results but the glow will be at par.

5. DEEP CONDITION YOUR HAIR

For deep conditioning your hair naturally, mash one banana in a blender and apply it as a hair mask for 45 mins- 1hour. It will leave you with the softest and shiniest hair possible. Try it, you won’t regret it! P.S- Mash the banana in a blender and not manually. Else you’ll have chunks of it in your hair for days!

6. BACKUP YOUR SLEEP

Whenever possible, sleep on your back instead of your front. It prevents fluid to accumulate in your face and eyes, thereby preventing you from early wrinkles.

7. SOOTHE WITH SPOONS

Speaking of puffy eyes, if you suffer from them regularly, keep 2 stainless steel teaspoons in your freezer at all times. Grab them when you need to soothe your eyes and bring down the swelling.

8. PREVENT BLISTERS WITH BAND-AID

Love your ballet flats but detest the blisters they leave? Place a bandaid on the spot where your foot touches your shoes. It will prevent friction between your foot and your shoes and prevent blisters.

9. THE PARTIAL WASH

No time to wash and style your hair? I know the answer’s easy. Use a dry shampoo or baby powder. Right? But what if its too greasy for a dry shampoo/ baby powder? Try this instead. Wash ONLY your bangs in the sink. It will take not more than 2 minutes tops. Run a dryer through them quickly and that’s it. When the hair framing your face are fresh-looking, people are less likely to notice the rest of your head. Hopefully, that’ll save your day till you have time to wash your entire head.

10. STRAIGHTER FOR LONGER

If your hair is like mine, you’ll understand when I say that my hair are too stubborn to stay straight. I’ll run a flatiron through them and they’ll behave for like 2-3 hours. And then, back to square one! It just doesn’t hold straight. Fortunately, there is a way to fix it. As soon as you’ve finished using the flatiron, lightly spray your hairbrush with a light to medium hold hairspray and run it through your hair. Voila! Your hair will remain straight for a longer time.
