August Shopping Haul

Hey Guys

I have a haul post for you today! Initially, I wasn’t going to do it because all the products came separately and by the time the new ones came, I was already impatient and tried a couple of the older ones out. However, I did feel that I haven’t done a haul post in a long time. So finally when I have almost everything (one of them is still on its way!), I thought why not. So here we go.

1.Makeup Revolution Chocolate Vice Palette

This eyeshadow palette from Makeup Revolution has 16 beautiful shades. The palette leans towards a peachy gold color family which I think would suit most Indian skintones. I’ve heard so much about the Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes so I’m really excited to try it out. Plus how tempting is the packaging!

2. Freedom Brow Pomade- Ash Brown

I’m obsessed with perfect eyebrows these days! For some reason??? I’ve always had the Anastasia Brow Pomades on my wish list, but as you guys probably already know, they aren’t very easily accessible in India. So I’d been searching for the next best products that I could easily get my hands on. And on one of these hunts, I came across these Freedom Brow Pomades that are supposed to be dupes for the Anastasia ones. I wasn’t sure of the shade and wanted Dark Brown but since that wasn’t available, I went this ‘Ash Brown’ one.

3. L.A Girl Pro HD Concealer

I’ve heard so much rave about these concealers; its crazy! But since I’m not in a mood to let go of my MAC Prolongwear concealers for my concealing needs anytime soon, I thought it’ll be great to test it as a cream contour. The shade I got is ‘Toast’.

4. Vega Angular Blender Brush

Before I could invest in some pricey makeup brushes, I tried many Vega and local brand brushes. Of them, this along with another Vega Professional Blending Brush were the only ones I actually liked and used. This is a great alternative if you’re on a budget and looking for a good quality angular brush. Me, I now have the MAC angular brush which works really well too but since angular brushes are super useful I thought of getting one of these again too.

5. Batiste Dry Shampoo- Floral & Flirty Blush

OMG! One of the most raved about dry shampoos, I was extremely excited when Nykaa launched Batiste dry shampoos in India. I went with this floral scented one. However, I tried it out once and I’ve got to say it wasn’t as I expected it to be. I creates a lot of buildup and leaves some stubborn residues. Have you guys tried this product out? Let me know if you faced this issue too.

6. Sally Hansen Extra Strength Nail Polish Remover

One of the best nail paint removers I have ever used! It removes stubborn nail paints in one go and despite its scary name which includes ‘Extra Strength’ it isn’t as much drying for the nails as one would expect it to be. This is my second purchase and one bottle of this lasts a long time.

7.  Stila Convertible Color- Petunia

One of my favourite makeup products to use is a cream blush. Even though I have an oily skin, I just love how they just dissolve into your skin and make it look flushed from within. One tip though, if you’re like me and love wearing cream blushes but have an oily skintype, always set your cream blush with a little bit of translucent loose powder. It will still leave a little bit of the blush’s sheen but take the excess away. Anyways, this time I went with Stila’s Convertible Color in the shade Petunia. It is a beautiful peachy pink shade.

8. Essence Lash Princess Mascara

I think Essence as a brand is one of the most underestimated brands. It has some amazing products at a fraction of the cost at what other brands offer. One of their best products are their mascaras. Since I used their ‘I love crazy extreme volume’ mascara, I’ve been wanting to try out more of them. This time I went with this one.

9. Nykaa Matte Nail Paint- 08 Black Cherrypie

Honestly, when I ordered this nail paint, I was expecting a very dark (almost leaning towards black) plum shade. However, its not as dark as I’d expected it to be. I love the concept of matte nail colors and love that Nykaa is coming up with toxin-free nail colors, just this shade I’m not so crazy about. Who knows, maybe it’ll grow on me!

10. P.A.C Single Eyeshadows- No. 6 and No. 10

P.A.C cosmetics is fast spreading its wing in the Indian market. Suddenly everyone is raving about their eyeshadows and brushes. So I was going through their Amazon Store and saw they had a wide variety of single eyeshadows. I thought of ordering some matte ones because its really difficult to get decent formulas in matte eyeshadows. Both of these came packed in individual plastic packagings. What I love about these eyeshadows are that they are completely matte. I’ve yet to try them on my eyes but with just a swatch, I’m loving them. I really want to try out their brushes now! Have you guys tried them? Let me know in the comments.
