REVIEW

The BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo (30ml) comes in a small pump bottle with a transparent plastic cap. The first thing you notice is that the bottle is exceptionally light-weight. When I first picked up the bottle, I actually thought it was empty! This weightlessness makes it quite easy to carry the bottle around with you. The pump feels sturdy and controllable which helps to produce an even mist and prevents you from accidentally concentrating the product at the same place.

It dispenses a white-colored dry shampoo that is meant to absorb excessive oiliness from your scalp/hair when washing them is not an option. And it does an impressive job at that! After using it, my scalp feels refreshed, my hair gains some movement (in contrast to looking limp) and looks much less oily. It also adds a very mild fragrance to the hair. Because of the white color of the product, you need to be careful in not concentrating too much of it at the same place. If used in a moderate quantity, it brushes out easily and in my experience, does so much easier than some other dry shampoos I’ve used in the past.

One thing to remember here is that, like all other dry shampoos, it is in no way a substitute for regular shampooing and will not give you the exact same results. The product is meant to be used for emergencies when you want to refresh your scalp and make your hair look less oilier.

How I Use It: I keep the nozzle about 6-8 inches away from my head. I then lightly spray it on the underside of my hair close to the scalp which is where I get the most oily. While doing this, I keep the spray moving so as to not concentrate the product too much at a single place. After waiting for about a minute I then massage my head lightly (for about 20-30 seconds), take my hair brush and comb the product out. I only use it on my scalp and the roots of my hair which is where I tend to be oily. So I cannot say if it would work for the lengths of the hair as mine are already quite dry. It works best on 2nd/3rd day hair and its effect usually lasts for about 6-8 hours which gets me through the rest of the day without looking like an oily mess.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo is a spray-on white-colored dry shampoo that absorbs mild to moderate greasiness to give a more refreshed and a less greasy look to your hair. The product works well for 2nd or 3rd day hair to extend the time between two washes. The product is quite decently priced when you compare it with other similar products on the market. I also love the fact that it comes in a small travel-sized version which makes it super easy to carry around. Definitely one of the best products I’ve tried this year!
