Beauty Updates You Need To Make For Fall This Year
Beauty Updates You Need To Make For Fall This Year

Hey Guys!

So I was just clearing and updating my makeup and beauty essentials the other day. And I realised there are quite a few things that require some overhauling at this time of the year. So in today’s post, I’ll be sharing some of my absolute essentials that need to be switched over to in this upcoming season.

1. Foundation

With the weather changing, its now time to swap your matte foundations in favour of some light, dewy finish ones. Although I have an oily skin and so prefer to keep my face matte, there is no denying the fact that the matte formulations are really unforgiving on the dry areas of the face. And no matter how hard you try, they will accentuate (or create) some dry patches on your skin which we can all agree to, is not a pretty sight! Using a dewy finish foundation is quite forgiving on the skin and lets the moisture levels of the skin stay intact. Plus it gives a natural sheen to the face which this dry weather can strip off of.

2. Cream Blushes

I love using cream blushes at this time of the year! Since the dry weather starts stripping the skin of its natural radiance, cream blushes come in handy to mimic that glow. If you haven’t tried cream blushes yet, you must try atleast one now! My personal favourite? The NYX’s cream blushes. They have a great formulation, don’t break out my acne-prone skin and are affordable.

3. Moisturizer

Its time to switch your summer moisturizers to something a little more hydrating. In India, we tend to have a lot of variation in the weather and while light, oil-free formulas are great for the summers, fall and the upcoming winter demands a little more nourishing formulas. For oily skinned beauties, try switching to a light lotion base which will provide a balanced amount of moisture and oil. Garnier and Lotus Herbals have some good ones.

4. Glosses

I personally love my matte lipsticks. But its not alway possible to wear them for long hours in this season without the risk of chapping your lips. So I like to layer a light layer of gloss on top of it to help my lips stay moisturised and prevent any dry look. My favourite are the NYX Butter Glosses. Apart from giving the lips a glossy finish, they also hydrate the lips and feel very comfortable on them!

5. Face Mists

Face mists are a great way to refresh your makeup. But they are also hydrating and soothing. And they act as a perfect base to slather your moisturiser on, which helps it to absorb into the pores and hydrate a lot better. My current favourite is the Avene Thermal Spring Water. That reminds me. I need stock mine up!

6. Lipsticks

Its time to bring out all those dark burgundy, berry and plum lipsticks. No better time to wear them now.

7. Lip Balms

Lastly, take care of your lips. Switch to a richer formula to keep your lips hydrated. Light tinted lip balms feel great in the summer time but as the weather tends to get colder and drier, try switching to some richer formulas with cocoa and shea butter that will better hydrate your lips, especially if you tend to have dry lips. I personally love TBS cocoa butter lip care stick. It hydrates my lips really well and smells uh-mazing!!!
