Hi Girls
As the summers are fast approaching, its time to bring out your colored eyeliners 🙂 And when it comes to colored eyeliners, one of my favourite range is the Faces Canada’s colored eye pencils. They are available in a number of shades and I’ll be reviewing three of them today- Purple, Dark Green and Navy Blue.
Price
I purchased these when they were still quite affordable. They are now available for Rs 449/- in the market but you can buy them for Rs 345/- here
Review
Packaging: Faces Eyeliner Pencils come in a regular pencil form with color-coded caps for easy identification. The caps fit snugly onto the pencils. There is no sharpener included with the pencils. Although they can be sharpened with any slim eye-pencil sharpener available in the market. I personally use my Lakme Dual Sharpener for this purpose.

Texture: These pencils are very creamy and go on ultra smooth. There is no tugging or pulling on the eyelids ever. The texture is an absolute delight to work with! Although creamy, its not too creamy that it breaks while sharpening or during application.
Pigmentation: They are all very highly pigmented and 1 swipe is all you need to get an opaque finish.
Longevity: These pencils set into a waterproof and smudge-proof finish within seconds. After that they can only be removed with a makeup remover. On my top lash line, they tend to stay for about 5-6 hours. I often tend to wear these on my waterline and they have never irritated my eyes. But since these are a waterproof formula, I wouldn’t suggest it to those of you with sensitive eyes. They do tend to transfer slightly onto my crease, if not set with a powder. But then, I have extremely oily lids and there are very few products that really tend to hold their own. For those of you with not-so-fussy eyelids, you’ll be fine.

The Shades

Purple: My favourite out of them all! You can probably tell by looking at its size compared to the rest 😛 Anyways, its a gorgeous dark purple shade which brings out brown eyes quite well! It has very tiny flecks of golden shimmer particles here and there. But they are detectable only on the pencil itself and are hardly noticeable on the eyes. Since the shade is a dark one, it can be worn on a daily basis to break the monotony of a usual black eyeliner.

Navy Blue: An absolutely stunning dark navy blue. It might be one of the hottest selling shade in this range and quite deservingly so! Again, being a dark shade, it can be an easy replacement for a black eyeliner on a day to day basis.

Dark Green: This was my first purchase out of the three. The shade can best be described as a dark olive green. I have a lot of green eyeliner pencils in my kit but this is the most unique shade of all. It might have been discontinued (correct me if I’m wrong!) which is sad because its a rare green.

Overall Thoughts
Although I’m not a fan of the revised price of these eye pencils, these are hands-down one of the best drugstore colored eyeliners available in the market. They come in a variety of shades and you can easily pick a suitable shade for yourself. What makes these a great purchase is the extra smooth and creamy formula along with the ability to set into a waterproof and smudge-proof finish. If you’re looking for some good colored eyeliners, I would suggest you give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!
