February Beauty Favourites- Kiehl’s, Lakme, Plum & more!

The weather’s been changing fast and I can’t believe we’re almost over with the winter! But before the season goes, I thought I’d share some of my favourites that I’ve been loving lately. I’ve included a couple of skincare products, some makeup ones and a really useful one for all those struggling to use the MAC Brush Cleanser. Read on to find out more about my February Beauty Favourites…!

1. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

This is my new HG eye cream! When I first bought it, I was a little concerned if it would make my under eye area greasy or cause any breakouts on my oily skin. And while it has quite a thick formula, the cream feel intensely hydrating and has never caused my skin to breakout. It gets absorbed in some time so I mostly use it at night. But ever-so-often, I do enjoy using it in the daytime, especially prior to using my drier correctors and concealers (like the Bobbi Brown Corrector).

2. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Lip Moisturizer

One of our lovely writers, Sreeparna, wrote a post on the best lip balms available in India a while ago. I was so inspired by this product that I placed an order for this product soon after!  For the past two months, I’ve been using this lip balm and I must admit, its one of the best drugstore lip balms I’ve tried so far. Its not overtly shiny, which I love since I can wear it under matte lipsticks. It is very hydrating yet not heavy which is common with deeply hydrating lip balms. And it has an SPF!

3. MAC Give Me Sun Bronzer

This is one of my repeat favourites. What can I say, I’m absolutely in love with this product. It gives such a beautiful finish to the skin, you have to try it out the next time you’re at the MAC counter!

4. Chambor Extreme Transferproof Liquid Lipstick- Shade 482

These liquid lipsticks from Chambor are absolute love! And although I don’t really care for their sometimes overwhelming fragrance, I absolutely adore the formula. It is lightweight, transfer-proof, long lasting and high pigmented! This shade 482 is a medium to dark mauvish brown which looks gorgeous with black outfits. The applicator it comes with is simple yet very effective in applying the lipstick precisely. Thinking of getting a few more shades from this range!

5. NYX Matte Lipsticks

Having a satin finish, these NYX matte lipsticks are probably one of the best drugstore matte lipsticks we have in India! Very pigmented and creamy, they come in a variety of colors. I have the shades Whipped Caviar, which I also mentioned in one of my earlier monthly favourites, and Euro Trash, which is very similar to Whipped Caviar except that Euro Trash is lighter and pinkier.

6. Plum Natur Studio All Day Wear Kohl Kajal

Ah! One of my favourite kajal these days, this jet black kohl is more of a gel eyeliner in a pencil form. It sets in a few seconds to a smudge-free finish and is one of the softest eye pencils you’ll ever use!

7. Lakme 9 to 5 CC Cream

The MAC Face and Body is usually my go-to foundation in the colder months but I find myself reaching for this more often these days. It has a very beautiful finish, does not break me out and is easier to apply; given that you don’t really need a separate moisturiser and sunscreen underneath it.

8. PAC Single Matte Eyeshadow- shade Sml06

PAC has probably one of the best matte eyeshadows! I don’t usually use eyeshadow day to day but if I’m in a mood, this is such a gorgeous and versatile shade. It looks bright in the pan but when combined with other dark eyeshadows, this serves as a lovely warm transition shade. Absolutely gorgeous!

9. Spray bottles from Amazon

These spray bottles come in a pack of three and are probably one of the best beauty purchases I’ve made in a while! They’ve completely transformed my experience with the MAC Brush Cleanser, which again is an amazing product but comes in a lousy packaging. These light-weight, leak-proof little bottles help spray just the right amount of product and prevent wastage. I use them for my MAC Brush Cleanser, MAC Fix Plus and rose water. These are a must try if you use the MAC Brush Cleanser or any other liquid in a terrible original packaging. You can buy these here.
