Forest Essentials Light Day Lotion Lavender and Neroli Review

Hi Everyone

I’ll be reviewing the Forest Essentials Light Day Lotion Lavender and Neroli with SPF 25 today. Before I begin the review, I’ll give a short intro about my skintype. My skin is usually pretty oily in the summers but in the winters, it becomes more of a combination type with my T-zone getting some dry patches here & there. So since the start of this season, I had been looking for a light yet hydrating moisturizer that would help treat these dry patches on my T-zone yet be light enough for the rest of my face. This quest for my HG moisturizer led me to this product. So lets get to the review and see if this find concluded my search.

Product Claims

Forest Essentials Light Day Lotion Lavender and Neroli is a silky light-weight lotion that steeps into the skin easily leaving it soft and smooth with a non-greasy feel. It contains Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha and Gokharu along with Almond, Wheat germ and Olive oils which not only provide nourishment but also prevent the skin from the damaging effect of free radicals. Regular use of this light day lotion helps your skin to retain its natural texture by repairing the damaged cells and giving an even toned skin with the light fragrance of Lavender and Neroli.

My Review

The product comes in golden-colored pump bottle. As with all other Forest Essential products, the moisturizer feels quite luxurious on the first look. The pump which comes with this bottle is of quite good quality. The bottle is light-weight yet sturdy. No complaints in packaging!

The moisturizer is a thick/non-runny white colored lotion. It spreads easily and gets absorbed into the skin almost immediately. The fragrance is also light and quite pleasant. Not overpowering at all. The moisturiser feels quite comfortable and soothing on the skin. It leaves the skin completely matte and does not cause any breakouts. The only thing where it lacks is in the hydration level. It does not moisturize my skin enough and does nothing to treat the dry areas on the skin. I feel this moisturizer will be suitable for those with very oily skin types or for the summers.

Final Comments

Forest Essentials Light Day Lotion Lavender and Neroli is a good moisturizer just not an amazing one, especially considering the price. There are other products in the market which deliver much better results at a fraction of the cost. Unless you are looking to splurge, I’d say skip it!
