A good eye cream is probably one of the most essential products you can have in your daily skincare regime. It can delay wrinkles as well as prevent puffiness and dark circles, which in turn can prevent you from looking tired and unhealthy. Packaging

The cream comes in a little tub packaging. Usually I’m not a big fan of tub packagings but given this cream’s thickness, a tub packaging is probably the only choice. Kiehl’s also provides a little spatula along with it so you don’t need to worry about dipping your fingers everytime into the tub and the probable contamination.

Texture

Speaking of thickness, the lemon-yellow colored cream is quite thick in texture. So thick that if you have an oily skin like me, you’ll probably have thoughts to reconsider your purchase. Atleast that’s the sort of hesitation I went through initially when I went to purchase the product. But ultimately I decided to purchase it. All it took were a few trips to the store and some convincing from the SA 😛 There is no discernible fragrance to the product so those who don’t enjoy fragrance in skincare products, you won’t be disappointed!

How To Use

The cream takes a little massage (of about 15-20 seconds) to get fully absorbed into the skin. After it has fully absorbed, it leaves behind some sheen over the area. There is no heaviness though which is usually the case with some oily eye creams. However, given the sheen left behind, it is best to use this cream in the evening time after you’ve removed all your makeup and are ready for bed. That way it has a full 7-9 hour window to work its magic so you wake up with well nourished skin. That being said, if you want to use it in the day time, you absolutely can. Just take a little dab of the eye cream and massage it into the skin. Let it absorb for 10 minutes before you blot the excess with a tissue.

Results

The eye cream is highly moisturizing so it is best for those who suffer from dry under eye skin but don’t want to purchase creams that leave a heavy residue behind. Although I love my The Body Shop Elderflower Eye Gel, I’d been wanting to have something more nourishing than a gel so I decided to go with this. With this cream, I wake up with a soft, nourished ad very well hydrated under eye skin that lasts for the entire day. It brightens up my tired my eyes so I look well rested even if I haven’t! I haven’t noticed much effect on dark circles or fighting fine lines. But then, the product doesn’t claim to do so as well.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

The Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado is ideal for those who suffer from dry under eye skin. It leaves a little sheen behind but it doesn’t pull down the skin or feel heavy. It is highly moisturizing so it gets rid of any dry patches almost instantly. And the skin feels plump and well hydrated which in turn is bound to prevent dark circles and fine lines in the long run. As for the existing dark circles and fine lines, I haven’t noticed a lot of effect on those! It is heavily priced but given that you use only a very small amount at one time, the product is expected to last for atleast 7-8 months.
