Hi Everyone
I’ll be sharing my experience with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Anti-Imperfections Corrector today. I remember using such imperfection-targeting moisturizers quite a few years ago when my skin was breaking out badly. At that time, one of Vichy’s moisturizers came to my rescue and cleared up most of my skin. After that period, my skin never had any major issues so I never thought that my skin needed external help any longer (apart for using a good facewash). I was so wrong! Lately, I started using the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Anti-Imperfections Corrector 1-2 times daily and it has fast become one of my favourite skincare products. Read on to know how it has helped my skin and why I think every girl with an acne-prone combination to oily skin types needs to check it out too!

Review
The product comes in a sleek white colored tube packaging. It has a narrow opening which helps dispense a controlled amount of product. The product, a gel-cream, has a mild fragrance. I personally do not enjoy using skincare with added fragrance but in this case, the fragrance fades away almost as soon as you finish applying the product so its not much of an issue. The moisturizer spreads quite easily onto the skin so you just need a small pea-sized product for the entire face. It absorbs into the skin instantly too leaving the skin completely matte.
One of the amazing things I find in this product is its hydrating quality. Usually moisturizers made to target acne-prone skin do not have much of a hydrating effect. But a small amount of this product takes care of all the isolated dry patches that my skin sometimes suffers from using too much powder. I’ve been using the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo for the past few weeks now and it has visibly improved my skin. My pores look smaller in size and my skin looks clearer as well as so much smoother. Although its effect was noticeable from the very beginning, in these past few weeks, the clarity of my skin has improved a lot too. And the best part is that not only me but other people around me are noticing and complimenting my skin too! It also has a slight effect in controlling new acne from forming. However in case of existing acne, I feel that it did not have much effect in clearing it up. Nonetheless, I’ve been loving the effect it has had on my acne scars, blemishes and pores!

Overall Thoughts
The La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo is a quite an effective gel-cream that targets almost all problems related to combination/oily acne-prone skin types. It improves the appearance of large pores, smoothens acne scars and prevents new acne form forming. It works well as an optimally hydrating moisturizer that leaves the skin matte but hydrates it well too. It is a little expensive but its certainly worth it. Highly recommended!

I have oily skin and the Effaclar range by La Roche Posay works great for me. Slightly pricey but worth the investment.
