You know that time before you first started colouring your hair? The time when your hair had a youthful, healthy shine to it. And as many efficient products you use now, signs of damage still peep through. Well, today I am going to talk about a haircare product that actually makes your hair look like virgin hair- healthy, bouncy, shiny and moisturized. I’ll be reviewing the L’Occitane Volumizing Shampoo. This product does everything it claims to do. Well, almost! And it came quite close to being my HG shampoo. But it misses by just one little but quite a significant point. Read on to find out what that is.

Review
The product comes in a dark-tinted plastic bottle. The silver-colored flip open cap shuts down securely thereby preventing any chances of leakage. The packaging is sturdy and will be suitable for travel.
Coming to the actual product, the fragrance of it is ah-mazing! I can’t really seem to describe it exactly in words but it is somewhat like a foresty citrus fragrance. It’s a very soft, pleasant and mood-uplifting scent. As for the texture, it is a clear liquid with a thin, flowy consistency. Its lathering capability can be described as average in that it is definitely less than other regular shampoos but not too less that it feels difficult to use.
Anyway, now on to the best part, the results! It has a good volumizing action, sort of the type you would have if you had a quick blow-dry. The hair feel light and bouncy. There is no frizz whatsoever. But this is isn’t the best part. The best part is that it makes your hair feel so moisturized and shiny. I love how it makes my dry hair look so healthy! But as they say, nothing is perfect. And that goes for this product too. Atleast for me. It seems to leave a little but definite residue on my scalp. Most likely of the oils that it has in it. The residue in itself is not bothersome but I have an oily scalp and it really bugs me that it doesn’t clean my scalp very well.
One more thing I’d like to add here is that the above results are when I follow this shampoo with my regular Kerastase conditioner. When I used this shampoo with the L’occitane repairing mask, the results were quite different. My hair felt very dry, not as much shiny, I had some hair fall too. So please keep in mind that other than from person to person, the results vary with different haircare product combinations too.

Overall Thoughts
It is one of the best shampoos I’ve tried since a long time. It moisturizes dry hair, doesn’t contribute to extra hairfall, gives them a healthy look, has a good volumizing action and makes the hair oh-so-shiny! The only catch with this product is that on my oily scalp, it seems to leave a ‘residue’. If you can get past the little ‘residue’ part, I’d highly recommend it to people with dry or limp hair.
