I’ll be reviewing the L’oreal Color Riche Nail Paint in Perle De Jade today. You might recall it from my shopping haul post here. It is a gorgeous pastel mint blue shade which screams summer!
As with all L’oreal Color Riche Nail Paints, the product comes in a slim glass bottle with a golden colored top. It comes with a flat brush, the tip of which is slightly rounded. Both these features make the brush a little more convenient to use as compared to the regular round brushes with a straight edge. The nail paint is of a thin consistency which spreads very easily. It has a slight tendency to streak which is weird because I own many shades from this range and not one (except this) has a tendency to streak. It can be easily overcome though in 3-4 coats. Those many coats might even be necessary if you’d like an opaque finish. That’s because it provides a translucent coverage in one coat and you need around 3 coats to make it completely opaque.
The nail paint sets quite fast and sets into a glossy finish. This finish continues for around 3-4 days after which it starts to fade. The nail paint itself is one of the most long-lasting nail paints I’ve tried. It lasts easily for 5-6 days with minimal to no chipping at all. And this is without a top coat. OfCourse, I don’t do a lot of kitchen work and for the ladies who do, it might last a little less. Check out the swatches below. It looks a little brighter in person than it looks in the pictures below. P.S- Please excuse the clumsy application. I was in a hurry and had like 2 minutes to apply it.
L’oreal Color Riche Nail Paint in Perle De Jade is a beautiful and fresh pastel mint blue colored nail paint. It has a thin consistency, dries quite fast and lasts a long time with minimal chipping. You do need around 3-4 coats to build an opaque coverage and get rid of the slight streaking but because it dries quite fast, it doesn’t feel that big of an issue. Highly recommended for all the pastel lovers!
