REVIEW
The product comes in a plastic pump dispenser bottle. The lid closes securely so its safe to travel with. The pump works fine too except the fact that when you are near to finishing up the bottle, it fails to dispense the product out. I have to open up the bottle and scoop the product straight out of the bottle. I’m aware most pump bottles have this issue but this one seems to have it pretty soon when there is still a lot of product remaining. Another point of concern for me personally is that the pump doesn’t lock. Not much of an issue but if you tend to misplace the lid, like I do, it gets inconvenient to travel with.
Anyways, coming to the actual product now. The moisturiser itself is a white colored lotion which is a little on the thicker side and not runny at all. It spreads easily on the skin and is absorbed almost immediately. Infact, the way the skin gulps this moisturizer, it feels like your thirsty skin had been waiting for this drink forever. The only thing left behind is calm and hydrated skin with a healthy sheen. Since the moisturiser is a water-based one, it does not leave any oily/greasy layer behind which might’ve caused any discomfort to oily-combination skin. It is a light-weight moisturizer which does not clog any pores and does not cause breakouts either. Overall, leaving aside a few packaging concerns, I’m more than happy with the product!

THE GOOD
1. Its a light-weight lotion which is absorbed almost immediately
2. Hydrates the skin well without leaving any greasy layer behind
3. Travel-friendly packaging
4. The pump packaging is much more hygienic as compared to a jar one
5. Affordable
6. Easily available in India
7. Safe for acne-prone skin and does not cause breakouts.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD
As the level of the product in the bottle goes lower, the pump fails to dispense the remaining product which leads to wastage.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Lotus Herbals Alphamoist Alpha Hydroxy Skin Renewal Oil-Free Moisturiser is a light-weight water-based moisturizer ideal for all skin types, especially combination to oily skin. It gets absorbed easily, does not clog pores and hydrates the skin optimally. Its one of those few moisturizers I’ve come across that do their job well AND are affordable AND easily available. Highly recommended!
