The sunscreen comes in an orange colored tube which has a flip-open cap. The packaging is light, flexible and sturdy so you can carry it in your handbag without worrying about any leakage. Coming to the actual product, it is a translucent white-colored gel. It has a mild flowery fragrance which vanishes almost as soon as you apply it on the skin.
As claimed by the brand, the sunscreen gel does have a soothing effect on the skin which is quite welcome during the harsh summer heat, esp. for those with sensitive skin. The formula is very comfortable and leaves no ‘white’ cast. It sets into a completely matte, smooth velvety finish. It has never broken me out and should be suitable for people with acne-prone skin. I don’t feel it helps to control oil on the face but it doesn’t aggravate it either. It doesn’t completely prevent tanning but I have yet to come across a sunscreen that does, so I’m not holding that against it.

Lotus Herbals UV Screen Matte Gel SPF 50 is a soothing, matte finish gel sunscreen. It doesn’t have a very pronounced oil-controlling effect but it certainly does not aggravate it either. If you have a normal to combination skin and are looking for a good drugstore sunscreen, you should definitely give this a try. Highly recommended!
