I’ve been a big fan of highlighting concealers ever since I tried the first one years ago. I feel it makes a huge difference to the overall look and so is a must-have in my makeup stash. Over the years I’ve tried many and last one I finished before trying this was the BeYu Highlighting Concealer. I loved it but it is difficult nowadays to locate BeYu products and to replace it, I thought of trying the much hyped Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in the shade Honey, which I’ll be reviewing today. Keep reading to know what I love about it, what I don’t and if this is the concealer you’ve been looking for.

Review
The concealer comes in a twist-up pen-like packaging which has a brush as the tip. The brush, I feel is unnecessary and rather a hassle as it cannot be used for blending and infact stores the concealer residue which can act as a source of infection. Plus a lot of product is wasted as it gets trapped inside the brush bristles. Other than this, the packing is pretty simple, light-weight and sturdy. To use the product, you need to twist the tube a couple of times before the concealer comes out.

The consistency of the concealer is neither too thick nor runny. It is quite blendable and you can use anything to blend it, although personally I like to blend it with my fingers. It has a slightly oily feel to it and setting it with a powder is a must. It doesn’t have much coverage as you can see in the pictures below so unless you have negligible dark circles, you will need another concealer to layer beneath it. But what it is great at is highlighting and that is what I use it for. It gives your skin the most amazing glow and makes the skin look so healthy from within! On my oily skin, it stays put for about 5-6 hours and when set with a translucent powder, doesn’t crease much. The shade range is pretty limited and I believe this shade is the darkest one. Plus this is the only shade that has a yellow undertone to it. So unless you have no problem going for a pink-undertoned concealer, this is the only shade option you have. I have an NC 30/35 skintone and the shade ‘Honey’ should suit someone with upto 2-3 shades lighter or darker to my skintone.

Overall Thoughts
This concealer is a great option for those looking for a highlighting concealer to top over their regular concealer. It doesn’t provide much in terms of coverage but has a great highlighting effect. It can feel slightly oily so normal to dry skins will like it more than the oily ones. I personally love how it brightens my whole face and acts as a great alternative to a highlighter for the daytime. Recommended to anyone looking for a highlighting concealer minus the coverage, provided you can find a suitable shade.

I am hearing a lot about it these days but never thought of trying because of low coverage but I think I should try it once now.
i have hears a lot about this.definitely next on my purchase list..
I have been meaning to try it…This looks interesting for highlighting but not like one for coverage..Thanks for the awesome review!
Nicely reviewed dear. Looks amazing.
This is great for highlighting but shade range is very limited. Nice review dear.
i have heard so much about these but have not given it a try might try this time!
I have seen many beauty bloggers using this kind of highlighting concealers. Its great to highlight specific features on the face. Can we use it to conceal acne/pimple spots too?
No I’m afraid not Tiya! First of all this concealer doesn’t have that much coverage to cover a zit and secondly (& more importantly) you’d want a concealer to bring less attention while covering the acne while this one will bring more attention and highlight every area that it is applied on. As I said, it works best as a highlighter- under the eyes, on bridge of nose, top of cheekbones etc etc…
hey i love how this is giving brightening effect to your eyes
lovely product
Im currently using YSL touche eclat & Nars creamy concealer both have got the same effect 🙂
Nice review, but I guess the shade range is the most limiting factor..a shade lighter than my NC40 makes the area look grey (even with a corrector underneath) therefore I stay away from highlighters!
I have read a lot about this, intended to buy also, but never bought. I somehow feel the concealer with brush like this is surely something that wont work perfectly.
I like everything about this concealer except its coverage. 🙁
Highlighting nose bridge with this concealer would give a give a dewy and young look!
Hey komal I have a few concerns with this one. Does it flashback in photos? And can it be layered for highlighting on top of another light weight concealer that adds coverage?
Hey Priyanka! I use it only on my under eye area for its highlighting effect and I have never experienced any flashback in pictures. Sure it can be layered over another concealer. I personally like to layer it over my MAC Prolongwear Concealer (which is a full coverage concealer) and what it does is that it adds a nice dewy finish to the under eye area! Hope this helps 🙂
