Hi Everyone
Did you guys notice something new? Yup I changed the look of the blog a little. And in the coming days, you might see a few more tiny changes here and there. This was supposed to happen a few months ago, but I got busy and all this took a backseat. But I’m super happy now that I finally got around to completing it. Ofcourse, the ultimate objective is to improve your experience so if you guys have any feedback of any kind, please let me know.
Okay, coming to today’s post I’ll be reviewing the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade 20 (Sand Sable). As I stated in my previous post, Maybelline launched their Fit Me range in India a few weeks ago and I picked up the Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation and the Fit Me Concealer.

Review
The concealer comes in a transparent, plastic tube with a black twist-up cap. The cap is attached to a doe-shaped applicator. Personally, this is my favourite kind of applicator to use with concealers. It helps spread the concealer uniformly and into narrow areas like the inner corner of the eyes. The packaging is light-weight and convenient.
The product itself is a thin-medium consistency concealer which spreads and blends quite easily. It takes about a minute to start setting so you have enough time to apply and blend the product comfortably. The set product has a slight radiance to it so its not the best option to cover acne/zits. Plus the thin-medium consistency makes it harder to layer the product for that purpose. However, for the under-eye area it works pretty well to highlight the area while still keeping it matte. The disappointing thing though is that its coverage is light-medium and is best suited for those with light dark circles. For anyone having moderate to severe dark circles, this product would not suffice alone.

The shade I have is the No.20 Sand Sable. It is a yellow-toned concealer. Other than this shade, Maybelline has launched 2 other shades i.e No.10 and No.25. I also have the No.35 in this range (wrong shade bought at a drugstore abroad). I have swatched it below too in the shade comparison swatches incase some of you might have it. The finish of the concealer is quite natural and it lasts for about 5-6 hours on me. The shade No.20 is slightly lighter to my skintone which makes it a good choice for highlighting my under-eye area. On the downside though, the product has a tendency to crease. I know almost all concealers crease to some extent but this one creases within an hour of application, even after being set with a pressed powder. Ofcourse, setting it with a loose powder may improve the results but I still wouldn’t suggest it to someone with fine lines/wrinkles.

Below are some swatches of the product in comparison to some other foundations/concealers I have at the moment.

Overall Thoughts
Other than the affordable price tag, Maybelline Fit Me concealer’s great packaging, lovely blendable texture and the resulting natural finish makes it a good choice if you’re on a budget. However, it’s light/medium coverage, low shade selection and a tendency to crease can be disappointing.

Great review 🙂
Some one with heavy dark circles can dab some corrector underneath this concealer. They have kept the price range also great. I wish they could have brought all the shades in India. Because from your swatches, I feel the No35 shade would have suited me better as I am NC43.5 in MAC.
I ordered the same shade! but I was expecting it to be a full coverage one 🙁 Btw lovely EOTD <3 Which black liner are you wearing Komal ??
Ya me too 🙁 Thank you <3 It is the Inglot Gel eyeliner. I reviewed it some time ago so if you want you can read that too 🙂
I am surely grabbing this eyeliner. ?
sounds like a nice budget concealer……great review 🙂 xoxo
Lovely pictures! would love to try this new range specially if the shade match is so perfect!
This looks like a good buy! would love to try this range specially if the shade match is so perfect!
Sounds like average concealer!!! I think I might not try this one, need more coverage.
I have maybelline fit me concealer from a very long time and everytime I wondered why is it not launched in India still. It has been 1 and half years that maybelline listened to my prayers.. Great review!
they have good shade options!
Beautiful eyes! :-*
Thanks for the review. I was willing to buy this but now I feel like it would not work for me. I always look for the best coverage with a concealer! And also the creasing part is pretty disappointing . 🙁
Lovely layout, waiting for upcoming changes! I like how it offers a natural coverage. Just wished it had more shades.
Aww..thank you Mariyam 🙂
I am hearing a lot about this concealer. Great comparison swatch Komal.
I checked this concealer recently. The shade selection is so limited. Even the darkest shade was too light for my NC43.5 skin tone.
The coverage is slightly disappointing compared to the hype around it. I still want it though. Great and honest review! xx
This looks decent for daily wear. have you used the Dream Lumi Concealer from Maybelline? if yes, which one is better?
Ya Khushi I have. Infact I’ve reviewed it on the blog too. This one gives little more coverage than that one but the finish of this is matte while of the dream lumi is quite dewy. For moderate to severe dark circles, both would need some sort of corrector/concealer underneath.
nice review. You have applied very nice eyeliner. it is just perfect
I bought the concealer as well. Yet to try! Going by your review, it seems a little disappointing.

Hey! I got W6 when I was really tanned, about a year and a half ago. Not sure if it comes in new or old 🙂
Hi, Nice post!! This concealor is very camparable to some of the high-end concealors. Some people compare this drugstore concealor with Nars concealor.
Hi Komal, i’m planning to buy this online, which shade in Fit me concealor should i buy? i use 115 ivory fit me foundation and have fair skin.. Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi Priya! You could try Light no.10 in the Maybelline Fit Me concealer 🙂
