Hey Guys
Wish you a very Happy New Year!!! Hope you guys are having a wonderful start to this year. Mine started with some allergies, pizza and some fattening desserts 😀 But five days later, I’m back on track and here with another post.

Today I’ll be reviewing the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation. As someone of you might know, Maybelline launched their much hyped Fit Me range in India a few days ago. Other than the foundations; concealers, pressed powders and blushes have also been launched. Sadly, not many shades have been launched in each category and some people might find it difficult to match their shade. I had been waiting for this range to launch in India so badly that when I got to know of its launch, I went crazily from one makeup counter to another to find one that had stocked it up. At last, I did find one and even though I couldn’t find my preferred shade I grabbed the next best one in the foundation and the concealer. So let’s get to the review and see if it lives up to its hype or not.

Product Claims
Eliminate the look of pores and achieve natural looking skin with this lightweight, mattifying foundation.

Review
It comes in a glass bottle without any pump. The glass bottle is not very heavy-weight and can be travelled with easily, of course with some cushioning around it. The open mouth of the bottle without the pump may/may not appeal to you depending upon your preference. I personally do not usually have any issues without a pump but because of this foundation’s texture, it can be hard sometimes to dispense the product.

Speaking of the texture, the foundation has a slightly thick texture in the sense that it won’t roll off by itself. If you smell the bottle closely, you can sense an alcoholic smell but it is faint and should not be a problem for the sensitive noses. The foundation takes a couple minutes to set and gives you ample time to spread and complete the application. The pigment in the foundation is very fine and once on the face, it gives a very natural look. The finish is matte but not the unnatural-looking extremely matte kind. It is a very natural matte look and the formula is quite comfortable to wear. It doesn’t dry out or exaggerate any already dry spots but since it is still a matte formula, I’d suggest to wear it on a well-scrubbed and moisturized skin. One of the things that I find very impressive in this product which is quite hard to find in drugstore foundations is that it does not exaggerate the pores. I cannot say much about the pore-blurring claim but it definitely does not make them more obvious than they actually are on your bare skin. On a similar note, it also does not settle into fine lines such as your smile lines and leave that annoying crack in your foundation on the sides of your mouth. Even without setting with a powder, it lasts easily for 5-6 hours on me.

The shade Warm Nude (128) is a yellow-toned one. It matches my facial skin exactly but since I prefer to get half to one shade darker so my face matches my neck, this shade is a tad bit lighter in that regard. However, the difference is very little and I can easily fix it with using a darker powder to set it. I decided to go with this shade because the next shade that’s been launched is very orange-toned and dark for my skin. The foundation gives a light coverage in the first layer which can easily be built to medium in the subsequent layers. In my opinion, the coverage it provides would be enough for daily wear for most people, unless you have a very problematic skin. Even with a good coverage, the product feels very light-weight and comfortable to wear.

Overall Thought
Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation exceeded my expectations and believe me I had a lot to begin with! It gives a light to medium coverage, is very comfortable and light-weight to wear, has a natural matte finish and lasts easily for 5-6 hours. And did I say it is so affordable! Sadly, the shade range that has been launched in India is somewhat restricted. Nonethelesss, it is one of the best foundation I’ve come across yet. Do give it a try if you can find your shade. Highly recommended for normal, oily and combination skin types.

I really wanted to get the normal one and not the matte and poreless one but Alas! Maybelline again skipped dry skin. This sticks to dry patches like a baby monkey to it’s mother.
I just got mine.. cant wait to try it out. This shade looks nice on you.
I have this foundation and love the fact that it kind of blurs pores and gives a natural coverage!
Loved your look Komal 🙂 Same here hope I find my shade too but as of now I am loving my Kryolan TV Paint Stick and Maybelline Dewy+Smooth
Since it is lightweight I think it will perfect for everyday use. thanks Komal xx
