My Shopping Experience With Luxola.com

Since I recently did a little shopping on luxola.com, I thought I’ll do a post telling you how my experience with them went through.

As stated on their website, luxola.com is South-East Asia’s biggest e-commerce platform offering over 4,000 products from over 200 world-leading brands. The website has rapidly gained popularity because of it bringing some cult favourite brands like Ardell, Beauty Blender, Ecotools, Real Techniques, Sigma, Sleek, theBalm, Tweezerman, Tangle Teezer, Wet n Wild, Zoeva and many others closer to home.

As I told you all in my last post here, I decided to order from the website because it stocked the Beauty Blender, which by the way, I had been longing for such a long time! I also ordered an eyeshadow palette and a blush from Sleek. During my purchase, I noticed a few things which I am going to list down.

My Haul

1- User Interface: The website has a a very clean design and is quite easy to navigate through.

2- Brands: Luxola claims to work with over 200 brands stocking over 4,000 products. As stated above, it has brought some hard to find makeup brands to India which is great perk for all the makeup lovers. I found that some of the products that I wanted to purchase were out of stock at the time but you can always add your name to the waitlist and Luxola will email you once it is back in stock.

3- Discounts: This is something where Luxola completely takes the cake. Most of the times, you can avail some deals or discounts going on. Also Luxola sends you 2 free samples of your choice. In my case, I got 2 free samples, a 20$ gift card and a Luxola makeup sponge. Although, be warned that discounts are not applicable on certain brands and combining such brands with others will not let you avail any offers.

4- Customer Support: I had some questions regarding my order and the customer support was quite helpful with that. Although the customer support is not available 24-hours and you might have to wait for your query to be solved. As I generally prefer to shop from websites with a 24-hour support, I’d like to see that here too in the future.

5- Shipping: Delivery is free for orders above Rs 2300 which i think is justified considering the orders ship from Singapore.

5- Custom Duty: The website states that they ship on a Delivery Duty Paid basis meaning that all the duty/ custom charges are already added in your final purchase and you don’t have to worry about it thereafter.

6- Delivery Time: My order reached on the 5th day which is pretty impressive for an international order!

7- Packaging: Ok here is where I was a little disappointed. My order came wrapped in two separate bundles, both packaged well with bubble-wrap. And while the eyeshadow bundle remained intact,  the other bundle carrying my beauty blender had been crushed a little. It wasn’t a big deal because it is a sponge but still it got some indentations which I wasn’t too happy about. I hope Luxola takes better care of their shipping as they are with the packaging.

Overall Thoughts

Overall, I think Luxola.com has opened up a great portal for every makeup enthusiast in India. Personally, I had a smooth experience (except the slight crushing part) and will visit the website again once my desired products are back in stock!
