Hi Everyone
As I told you guys in my January favourites post, I have a bunch of reviews lined up for you. Starting with today’s post, I’ll be reviewing the Sigma F82 Round Top Kabuki Brush. I’ve been using it for some time now and I can safely say that it is one of my favourite foundation tools yet (the other one being my beauty blender). I think this brush can completely change (and speed-up!) your foundation application. And although the Real Techniques Buffing Brush has been said to be a close dupe of this, this Sigma one is way better and faster than it in my opinion. So let’s get to the review and see what makes it so perfect!

REVIEW
The Sigma F82 Round Top Kabuki Brush is a synthetic fibre brush. That means it is most suited to use with your liquid and cream products because the synthetic hair themselves do not absorb any excess product. As its name suggests, the hair are cut in a slightly rounded top. This slight roundness fits perfectly with the contours of your face and helps move the brush quite seamlessly. The hair in this brush are very densely packed and this allows it to pick up a good amount of product at a time. Also the hair are very soft and not at all scratchy. Because of all this, this brush helps me to get my foundation done streak-free and very fast (less than 30 seconds)! Since this is a kabuki brush, the best way to use it with your foundation would be a buffing motion.

I’ve had this brush for about 2 months now and during this period, washed it a few times. Till now, it hasn’t shed a single hair. It washes off very easily and although the top of the brush is white, it hasn’t stained. Because of the densely packed hair in this brush, it can take a few hours for it to dry so if you’re going to use it in the morning, make sure to wash it the night before.

The body of the brush is made up of a silver colored ferrule (which holds the hair in place) and a glossy black handle. Both of them are pretty light-weight which makes it pretty convenient for travel. However, the glossy handle does have a tendency to retain makeup (like foundation marks) which can look pretty untidy and needs to be washed off regularly too.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
The Sigma F82 Round Top Kabuki Brush is a densely-packed synthetic fibre-brush which gives a very fast, high coverage and streak-free makeup application. The hair are super soft and do not absorb any excess product. The brush is light-weight and ideal for travel purposes. Highly recommended!

I bought it from Luxola while it was still shipping to India. Guess that option is out of the way now 🙁 But I believe Sigma offers International Shipping too. So you can check the shipping rate directly on their website 🙂
Nice review Komal! Sigma brushes are undoubtedly one of the bests.. only the price and availability in India is an issue 🙂
