Review
The product comes in a little, transparent plastic tub with a black cap. The gel inside is a transparent one. The first thing you might notice is the lack of any fragrance whatsoever. I prefer my skincare products to have the least amount of fragrance as possible, especially if it is an eye product. So this one gets a huge plus from my side. Next, after being completely absorbed into the skin, the gel leaves the skin super relaxed and moisturized, unlike many gel skincare/ eye care products that leave the skin feeling tight and uncomfortable.
Honestly speaking, I haven’t been a big fan of eye creams till now because they made my skin look sticky and oily and rather than looking fresh, my under eye area started to look all the more dull. Plus the ones I tried until now were more concentrated with oil rather than providing moisture. So when I was casually strolling The Body Shop Store and picked this one up, I wasn’t expecting a lot from this product either. The SA suggested I try this on my hand and whoa! the skin on my hand felt so soft and supple. Needless to say, I brought this baby back with me home.
Since then, I’ve been applying this gel about 1-2 times a day. It has a slightly soothing effect on the skin. Once absorbed, the skin feels super soft, supple, moisturized and any small fine lines you might have are relaxed and their visibility lessened. The most drying eye makeup product I use is the Bobbi Brown Corrector and that product literally blends like a dream with this gel underneath. The skin remains moisturized for the next 12-24 hours. There is no oiliness or stickiness so you don’t need to blot it before you use any makeup over it. Although it is quite early to comment, I don’t think it has any significant effect on dark circles, which is quite alright because it doesn’t claim to do so either. But I just mentioned if some of you are wondering.

Overall Thoughts
The Body Shop Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel is a fragrance-free eye gel that moisturizes the under eye area quite well without leaving any sticky residue behind. The skin remains soft, supple and hydrated for a long time thereafter. For the very first time, I’m actually enjoying using an eye care product! If your primary concern is dry under eye area and you don’t have any other concerns like dark circles or puffiness, this would be a great product to try. Highly recommended!

never heard of this product ever…definitely going to try it!
This sounds great, I didn’t know we had this range in India!
I prefer my eye creams to have some added benefits other than moisturization. I have tried the TBS Vit E night cream which was pretty oily so this seems better than that.
I have dry under eye area….and I’m using aroma magic under eye gel…
the body shop gel sounds great too….will try soon 🙂
My primary eye concern is dry under eye and then I do have a bit of dark circles. I am currently using Loreal Youth Code eye cream. The other day I spotted this in the TBS Store. Thanks for this review, Once I am done with my current eye cream, I am going to get this once. The price is also decent.
I was actually searching for a good under eye product and your review came up at a perfect time! I guess this gel based formula will fare well on my combination skin 🙂 Also I fount it to be very reasonably priced for a TBS product!
this gel looks great and decently priced too. 😀
Nice review dear.. I have to try this out.
I guess we sometimes expect a lot from skincare products. Nourishing, hydrating, clear marks, reduce dark circles. But it is nice that the product sticks to its claims.
Hey, I was expecting it to be used for dark circles, but it’s great that it cools and hydrates the under eye area. Komal can you please do a review of the product which corrects dark circles?
I prefer eye gels to be soothing and hydrating on skin and not make the whole eye area greasy so this one seems to be a safe bet! 🙂
Wow, this looks delicious jelly. I waana eat it right away 😛
I’m sure this is perfect for those (aka me) who is always glued to gadgets

I agree with this eye gel. It works great to treat dry eye, dark circles and puffy eye. This eye gel formula gel is good as a moisturizer for eye area completely
