Hey Everyone!
I’m back with another review and I’ll be reviewing The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter today. The Body Shop has quite a number of body butters which are distinguished by their fragrances and the ideal skin types they are suited for. I purchased this one because I have a normal to slightly oily skin type which gets some dry patches in the winter months. So keep reading to know how it has fared on me.
Price: Rs 1095/- for 200ml
REVIEW
The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter comes in a large-sized plastic tub form. Because of hygiene reasons, I’m personally not a huge fan of the tub packaging in general. But I guess in this case, this is the only option owing to the thick consistency of the body butter. The packaging in itself is light-weight and sturdy but because of its big size, it might feel somewhat inconvenient for travel purposes.

The body butter is a thick pinkish/white butter-like cream. It has a fragrance of fresh strawberries and you can smell it as soon as you open the tub. The fragrance is not overpowering and if you love the strawberry fragrance, you’ll love this product too. I personally love strawberries and believe me, it gets pretty hard to resist the temptation to taste it! However, the fragrance does not last for a long time and gets dissipated fast once it is on the skin.

The product is quite thick when you initially pick it up from the tub but almost instantly melts when it comes in contact with the skin. It glides over pretty easily and gets absorbed completely into your skin within a minute. It does not leave any oiliness behind, just a slight healthy-looking sheen. This makes it is a great option for those with normal to oily skin. Especially during winter when you want some good hydration for your body but do not want any oiliness along with it. When I first bought it, I was apprehensive about using it on my back because I can easily breakout there if I use thick lotions/creams. But fortunately, I haven’t experienced any such thing with this product. The hydration it provides lasts for quite a few hours and depending on your skintype you would need to apply this once or twice a day.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter is a thick ‘butter-like’ cream that provides a good amount of hydration without leaving behind any oiliness. It is best suited for people with normal to slightly oily skin especially for the drier winter months. The hydration it provides may not be enough if you have a dry skin type. I absolutely love this product although I wish the fragrance lasted a little longer.

Nice review. It is sad that the moisturization is not great for dry skin, though it looks so thick and hydrating.
